In 2011, Dr. George Dempsey presented an educational community symposium sponsored by the Foundation on the prevention of tick-borne illnesses. He also helped develop a pioneering program for a new rapid Lyme disease test and in 2021, he was honored by the Bay Area Lyme Disease Foundation for his work in assisting with their Lyme Disease Biobank.
Dr. Dempsey’s ongoing participation in community-based research keeps him up-to-date on recent developments in diagnosis and treatment to help combat this pervasive local health threat.
