An innovative model of healthcare

Our mission

To improve the quality and availability of healthcare for all citizens of the Town of East Hampton, whether insured, uninsured or under-insured, with one standard of care for all.

Our future challenge is to first prevent illness whenever possible, curtail its development by whatever means feasible, and treat everyone in our Town with optimal care.
— Gerald H. Cromack II, Chairman, Board of Trustees

Our philosophy of healthcare

one standard of care for all

Our founding principle is at the core of all the services we provide to residents of East Hampton Town, regardless of insurance, age, gender, race, national origin, or financial status.

When the East Hampton Healthcare Center opened in 2002, we offered pediatrics, family, internal, and specialized adult medicine services to all Town residents. It was an innovative healthcare model. No one was turned away for their inability to pay.

The Foundation continues to facilitate an array of programs for the health and well-being of the community, for the diagnosis and treatment of disease, and for disease prevention whenever possible. Over more than twenty years, these services have significantly improved healthcare outcomes for the people of East Hampton Town.

Our goal is to sustain the Healthcare Center and community programs while responding to the Town’s healthcare needs. We undertake new initiatives only with guidance and feedback from the community and medical experts. Expanded mental health services, educational programs, and winter Health Fairs are fine examples of our evolving mission in action.

People who donate to the EHHF endowment believe in our vision of delivering excellent healthcare to everyone equally and for everyone to benefit from medicine’s advances in the future.

We are grateful to every single donor who has brought our mission to life since 1998 – and to all future donors who will sustain and amplify the Foundation’s important work for our children and grandchildren.

Thank you
