Peter M. Odell, MD, FACS is a founding trustee and serves as President of the East Hampton Healthcare Foundation.

Dr. Odell has vast experience dealing with complex ophthalmic issues, both medical and surgical. He is a Clinical Professor of Ophthalmology at Weill Cornell Medical College and Attending Ophthalmologist at New York Presbyterian Hospital. After graduating from Bowdoin College and Tufts Medical School and completing a medical internship at the New England Medical Center, he cared for indigenous Americans as an officer in the United States Public Health Service. 

Then, shortly after an ophthalmology residency and fellowship at New York Hospital, he was appointed the Director of Resident Training. In this role he not only demanded a high level of clinical and surgical expertise but also stressed the importance of understanding and communicating with patients. 

Dr. Odell serves on four of the Foundation’s committees, the Executive, Finance and Investment, Development, and the Strategic Planning Committee.
