Henry L. Murray

Henry L. Murray was one of the founders of the East Hampton Healthcare Foundation in 1997 and served as Chairman of its Board of Trustees from 2002-2021.

He attended Loyola, Yale University and Columbia University School of Business. He enjoyed a successful business career as a sales executive with Continental Can Company, and as Senior Vice President of the New York City Partnership and Vice President of the Reynolds Organization.

He has long been committed to community affairs, serving in the past as a Trustee and Vice Chairman of the Health Care Chaplaincy of New York and as Treasurer of the East Hampton Library where he was active on the Capital Campaign during the Library’s expansion. He also served as President of the Village Preservation Society of East Hampton.

For the past several years, he and his wife, Martha Sykes Murray, have made East Hampton their full-time home, in between visiting their six children, many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
